We have identified the previous "Black Horse and Rider" as the fulfillment of what is known as the "Dark Age period." The long reign of the Papacy caused a Spiritual eclipse of the Light of the true Gospel of Christ. This "Pale Horse" represents the next religious kingdom that came from the earth, or from man's design. The color of the horse is seen as "Pale," meaning an unclear or partial presentation of the Gospel. We know from history and from the prophecy, that the truths of God had been hidden for centuries by the Apostate church of Rome. This Pale Horse and Rider is symbolizing the 16th. Century Protestant Reformation which did bring forth a limited or "Pale" representation of the Gospel. However, these stalwart Reformers with their message of rebuke against the Papacy brought an end to the tyranny and the power of the Popes! Bibles were printed for the first time and given into the hands of the people.
The duel symbols of the horse and rider present a rather strange paradox. What started out to be for good as the "Pale" presentation of the gospel, seemed to merge into an evil intent! It is said of the "Rider" that his name was death, and Hell followed with him. We remember that this "Rider" being a human agent, symbolizes a kingdom of religion. The "Rider" will prove to be the development of what has come to be known as "Protestantism." It is also written that, "power was given to him to kill with hunger and with death." This scripture speaks of "Spiritual" hunger and death. Forms, rituals and creeds have NO LIFE in them! Jesus warned, "Use not vain repetition as the heathen do." A "cloned" religious service every week will ultimately bring Spiritual death to the soul! This is what has developed within the Protestant religion. "There is a way that seemeth right, but the end thereof is death and hell." It is the Spirit and the Word of God that brings Life! In the Revelation Prophecy, this event is symbolized as both a "Spiritual and Physical" battle. This is the fulfillment of our opening scripture, "power was given to him to kill with the sword, and with hunger, and with death." |

Rev.6:7-8 "And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth creature say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with the sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth." Allow me to give this brief explanation...After the Reformers died, their respective followers began to seperate themselves into sects or divisions. Each held tenaciously to the limited doctrines of their particular leader. Many "Party spirits" soon arose! For instance, the followers of Martin Luther adopted the name "Lutherans" and seperated themselves from others who were called Calvinists, Baptists, Anti-Pabtists and Anglicans etc. "Sect Making" by these various Protestantants was the evil intent that ultimately developed into what has become known as "The thirty year war" of Protestantism!
* Protestantism prsents a "Way that seemeth right" through their church membership. * Rituals, ceremonies and forms of worship in the institutional churches, have replaced the preaching of the pure Gospel message. * Jesus said to a very religious man called, Nicodemus in John's Gospel 3:3, "Ye must be born again to enter into the Kingdom of God." * The Pale color of this horse symbolizes an "uncertain" or "unclear" call to religion, rather than presenting the Lord Jesus Christ as the Head of the church. * Protestantism has brought forth an "Image" to Catholicism. * Protestantism did not go back to the Bible to receive the unadulterated Word of God. God calls all people to repent, turn from sin and believe the Gospel. * Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me." * As it is written: "There is a way that seemeth right, but the end thereof is death and hell."
