According to the 3rd seal parallel theme, this vision is both candid and explicit. John saw a Woman seated upon a scarlet colored beast. We can still identify this beast as the Roman empire, because of its seven heads and horns. The Woman representing the Apostate Church is now guiding the Empire. She was arrayed in purple and scarlet, decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication. These symbols show forth the lavish, elaborate and extravagant life style of the Papacy from its beginning!
The "Daughters" spoken of symbolize the Protestant sects that she birthed. The "Fornication" mentioned here is in the "Spiritual" realm. This Apostate Church has adulterated the Word of God as they have accepted Pagan ideologies and religious ceremonies into their religion.
It is written also, that the Woman was "Drunk with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus." Foxes Book of Martyrs records the historical account of the holocaust that lasted for the prophetic time of 1,260 years.
The Popes united with the Emperors of Rome and killed over 50 million Christians that were branded as heretics during the "Dark Age period."

One of the seven angels came to John with this message, "Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgement of the great whore, And I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH."
This "Harlot" woman symbolizes the Apostate Church of Rome, that claimed itself to be "Christian." The "Dogmas and edicts" of Rome have changed and superceded God's Word! | |
